Moscow Ballet and Local San Diego Ballet Partnership: Expressions Dance & Movement Center
Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full professional Russian cast are local San Diego children from Expressions Dance & Movement Center. Expressions Dance & Movement Center (EDMC), located in Santee, offers a variety of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, acro-tumbling, musical theater, and pom, as well as dance classes for students with special needs. EDMC is also home to award winning performing groups for ages 5 and up. The school’s performing groups compete locally and perform in the community. Students travel annually to perform at Disneyland, compete in local competitions, perform in county parades and fairs, and have even marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Expressions offers a family friendly, child-centered environment where everyone is celebrated for their unique gifts and talents.
