Welcome to the home of NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet in Detroit: the Fox Theatre! Constructed in 1928, it was the first movie palace in the world to be equipped with sound systems for films. It presented feature-length films, shorts, orchestra performances, and later hosted some of the biggest names in showbiz history—Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Shirley Temple—as well as the famed Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Today, the Fox Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as an exquisite backdrop for a variety of live productions, including another renowned Christmas show—NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet.
