Welcome to the home of NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet at the Jefferson Center! Consistent with the goal to be a first class performance facility, Shaftman Performance Hall at Jefferson Center was modeled after a popular 17th century “shoe box” English opera house design. The majestic theater showcases an impressive balcony, classic appointments and superb acoustics. The auditorium has solid wood paneling and chairs are luxurious seats made of cherry wood and plush velvet cushions. Loges and chandeliers add extra charm and recall the spirit of an old world opera house. A first-rate performance facility with the latest technical equipment makes this an outstanding venue for classical and contemporary entertainment.
